One dog is welcome for a charge, and the appeal is a clean, well equipped base within walking distance of one of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns.
Fowey itself is the draw. The town is close enough to walk in for the quay, the pubs and the passenger ferry across to Polruan, and there is a park nearby that guests use for daily dog walks. Parking at the apartment is straightforward, which matters a great deal in a town where it very much is not. Guests with dogs describe the place as a proper home from home: clean, tidy, comfortable and set up for cooking for yourselves.
Two practical points. The entrance is reached down an external steel staircase, which most dogs manage without a second thought but which is worth weighing if yours is elderly, arthritic, very large or wary of open treads. And the garden is not enclosed, so a dog needs to be on a lead or supervised outside rather than let out loose. Beyond the town you will want the car for the beaches and the wider coast, so this works best as a walk-into-town base with drives out from it.
