Lletty is an apartment in a converted house on Mostyn Avenue in Llandudno, a few streets back from the promenade on the Craig-y-Don side of town. It is a striking, heavily designed flat, and dogs are welcome in it, with guests describing dogs having the run of the place rather than being shut into one room.

The location does much of the work for a dog. The sea is a short walk away, the town centre is walkable rather than a drive, and there are eateries and shops near enough that the car can stay parked all week. The kitchen is fully equipped for anyone who would rather cook after a day out, and the flat is consistently described as clean, spacious and thoughtfully put together.

The one thing to weigh before booking with a dog is sound. The house is split into flats, and guests have reported that noise carries between them badly: footsteps, conversation and plumbing from the flat above are all audible, and dogs moving about on the hard floors above have been loud enough to wake people repeatedly through the night. That cuts both ways, since a dog that barks or paces will be heard just as clearly downstairs. Building work during one stay also brought early drilling noise.

Guests are mostly warm about the hosts and their communication, but a guest who raised the noise problem during a stay reported getting no reply at the time or afterwards. There are occasional reports of small maintenance faults left unattended, a fridge door and a living-room blind among them. There are also stairs up to the flat, which is worth a thought for an older or heavier dog.
