Reviewers travelling with dogs return again and again for the dog-friendly beach right on the doorstep, the walks straight from the park, and the dog-friendly pubs in the area. Several mention thoughtful touches on arrival, including a welcome gift box for dogs with a few treats and extras, and some of the caravans have an enclosed deck area that is handy for a dog to sit out with you.

A few honest points to weigh up. This is a large park where caravans sit fairly close together, so privacy is limited at busy times. Cleanliness varies by individual van: while many guests found theirs spotless, a number reported soft furnishings that smelt of a previous occupant's dog, or crockery that needed rewashing, so it is worth a quick check on arrival and a word with reception if your caravan falls short. As at many parks, a minority of guests do not pick up after their dogs on the grounds.

Importantly, there is a per-dog charge, and guests have reported it being around £45 per dog and, in a couple of cases, not flagged clearly at booking, leading to unexpected fees on arrival.
